Load up the family and bring them to the Inglewood Bird Sanctuary for a talk about bats, followed by a guided bat walk. After the sun goes down, we'll use bat detectors to listen to the sounds of foraging bats. The sanctuary has lots of great bat habitat, so bats should be very active (if the weather cooperates!). This event is held by Nature Calgary in partnership with the Alberta Community Bat Program.
Be sure to dress warm and bring a flashlight. No dogs please. Check back for updates.
Note: There is another bat walk with Nature Calgary on August 17 geared towards the general public.
