, plus phenomenal guest faculty.
: Alice has been deeply inspired by the teachings of yoga since 2000, drawn in by its holistic quality of unifying body, mind and heart. Since she was a young child, she would ask the timeless questions of, “Who am I? Why am I here?” Yoga offers her a platform to explore these questions and a perspective of understanding that has kept her curious and engaged with the subtle and profound nuances of life.
The practice she shares continually evolves and comes from her studies in many traditions and modalities. She has also studied Tantra, Anusara, Flow, Vinyasa, Yin, Restorative, Meditation, Chant, Mantra, Nidra and many other modalities such as Conscious Communication, Subtle Body Anatomy and other portals for personal growth. More than a particular style, Alice offers an integration of timeless wisdom and modern day practices in a manner that is meaningful and relevant. She holds space for others to listen deeply, love fully and live whole-heartedly.
Alice travels the world to offering trainings, retreats, workshops and women’s circles. Currently she facilitates 200h, 300h, and 500h Yoga Teacher Trainings through Inspired Yoga Institute, is the creatrix behind Embodied Shakti, developed numerous Mentorship Programs, served as faculty for the Omega Institute in New York has led retreats Costa Rica, Thailand, Bali, Iceland, Galapagos and beyond.
Nora's passion for yoga inspired her to start teaching in 1990. Her journey began in a rifle range in a basement under a bowling alley! Even though it was dusty and loud, everyone learned how to move their bodies with mindfulness and skill. She loved witnessing the positive effects of the practice light up the students in the class! She felt then, and continues to feel today, that she has a wonderful opportunity to help people feel connected in body, mind and heart through the practices of yoga.
These days, her teaching includes Critical Alignment yoga and therapy and Restorative Exercise. Nora has been blessed over the years to have been guided by so many wise and wonderful teachers. Each of her mentors has generously shared their teachings and insights. She began teaching anatomy and biomechanics of yoga in 1996 and has been a facilitator in teacher training programs ever since. Along with by co-director, Alice Hong, she currently offers both 200-hour and 300-hour Yoga Alliance recognized training programs.
